Be Green
You are already green to some degree in your daily life.
As Clay Hill Farm in Cape Neddick, Maine has inspired us with the thought that you just have to pick your shade of green and do your part.
In my home and office we are very good at reusing, recycling, composting, and overall not wasting anything.
Now what can we do while traveling?
- Offset your carbon footprint at Sustainable Travel International - it’s easy and affordable
- Reuse towels & ask maids not to replace them daily – leave them a note to be sure
- Bring reusable water bottles rather than buying bottled water if possible
- There are many ways to be a responsible traveler – click here
Respect the people and places you visit, even volunteer if appropriate.
Choose socially responsible suppliers, too!
I will help you, as I look at what the hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators are doing to give back and to protect the earth. I know it’s vacation but I ask that you take a stand and don’t leave your values at home (just leave your “valuables” at home).
Together we can make a huge difference!
So… Be Green here, Be Green there, Be Green everywhere! Leave only your footprints behind.
